But here’s the good news—you can make your own cozy, bakery-worthy pumpkin scones at home. And honestly? With a drizzle of Sparkle & Honey, they’re even better than the original.

This recipe gives you soft, spiced scones topped with a vanilla glaze and pumpkin drizzle. Perfect for pairing with your morning coffee, an afternoon tea, or as a sweet treat at fall gatherings.

🍂 Ingredients

For the scones:

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 2 tsp pumpkin spice blend

  • ¼ cup packed light-brown sugar

  • 3 Tbsp granulated sugar

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into ½-inch pieces

  • ½ cup + 1 Tbsp canned pumpkin puree (reserve 1 Tbsp for drizzle)

  • 4 ½ Tbsp heavy cream (reserve 1 Tbsp for brushing tops)

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 Tbsp Sparkle & Honey ✨

For the vanilla glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2–3 Tbsp half-and-half (or milk), enough to make a thick but spreadable glaze

For the pumpkin drizzle:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 Tbsp reserved pumpkin puree

  • Pinch of pumpkin spice

  • Splash of half-and-half, to thin

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a food processor (or mixing bowl), combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, pumpkin spice, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.

  3. Cut in cold butter until the mix resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Transfer to a large bowl and create a well in the center.

  5. In a separate bowl, whisk pumpkin puree, 3 ½ Tbsp cream, egg, vanilla, and Sparkle & Honey.

  6. Pour wet mixture into dry. Stir until just combined.

  7. Gently knead dough on a lightly floured surface.

  8. Shape into an 8-inch round and cut into 8 wedges (wet the knife if sticky).

  9. Place wedges on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  10. Brush tops with reserved 1 Tbsp cream.

  11. Bake for 13–15 minutes, until golden and baked through.

  12. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.

Vanilla Glaze13. Mix powdered sugar with half-and-half until smooth and spreadable.14. Spread glaze evenly over cooled scones. Let set.

Pumpkin Drizzle15. Whisk powdered sugar, reserved pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, and half-and-half until smooth.16. Transfer to a small bag, snip the corner, and drizzle over vanilla glaze.17. Allow drizzle to set before serving.
